Makes 8 (1 cup) servings (4 points)
1 lb. fully cooked reduced-fat turkey Italian sausage, cut into 1/4" slices
1 med. bunch broccoli, cut into florets
1/2 cup sliced red onion
1 can (14 1/2 oz.) diced tomatoes, undrained
1 tbs. minced fresh basil or 1 tsp. dried basil
1 tbs. minced fresh parsley or 1 tsp. dried parsley flakes
1 tsp. sugar
3 cups cooked spiral pasta
In a large skillet, sauté sausage, broccoli and onion for 5-6 min. or until broccoli is crisp-tender. Add the tomatoes, basil, parsley and sugar. Cover and simmer for 10 min. Add pasta and heat through.
